2 pints vanilla ice cream
1/3 cup rum or you can substitute 1/2 cup maple syrup but why would you?
3/4 cup sugar
4 tablespoons butter, melted use the real stuff here for full flavor
1/3cup fresh lemon juice, this is too easy use real lemons lol
6 sweet apples, such as Rome, Gala, Empires, peeled, cored, and cut into 8 to 10 wedges
Turn on broiler. Toss the apples with the lemon juice and butter and sugar, save 2 tablespoons of the sugar. Arrange on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Broil apples for 8 to 10 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle with the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar and broil until melted.
- while broiling heat rum or maple syrup in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Serve the apples warm with vanilla ice cream. Drizzle with the warm rum or syrup.
Told you this was good. Enjoy and come back soon!
